Do We Want a Treaty Educator Community of Practice
Proposed
Communities of practice (CoPs) are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do, and who learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.
Over ten years ago, Treaty educators explored the idea of creating a CoP to support and strengthen our mahi. At that time, the idea lapsed due to the challenges of regular interaction with only a few educators spread across the motu.
With today’s technology — Zoom, Teams, and other online platforms — such a network may now be more possible. This session is a space to revisit the idea together: Do we want a Treaty educators’ CoP (or sub-groups)? What purpose would it serve? How could it work in practice?
